The entire story is told from the perspective of Jack, a just-turned five-year-old who is living in Room with his Ma. The only thing Jack has known is Ma and Room. Seeing how this cute kid describes stuff and talk is very unique because Emma did such a good job that I can imagine this kid in front of me . But this is not the story, the book is also about a girl who was abducted at the age of 19. Later this girl turns out to be Ma. I think I said enough about this story line and I dont want to ruin it, so if you are interested to know what happened to Jack and Ma you have to read the book.
