I saw this video in one of my class and I thought of it a lot. Its very interesting to see how the development of education effect the children. My professor thinks that working with group of people helps you the most. You can gain knowledge and social skills as well. For the new generation, being active and distracted easily doesn't really mean you have a lower IQ level. We should picture ourselves in their shoes, with a lot of technology available, we should give them a break. Encourage their interest and let them imagine and explore.
Also, considering grades as our education level is wrong. The worst thing about the current grading system in the academic environment, is that its basically a competitive battlefield. Students, particularly in university, find that its ok to take every measure possible, despite the extreme amount of academic dishonesty it bears, in order to achieve the best grades possible. Sometimes getting an A+ in not a scale of a person being smart. This video just reaffirms why I look forward to seeing how the next generations will benefit from an alternative educational environment.
PS: I wish I can draw like this guy :)
